Yesterday I mentioned that I’m loving these new stamp sets and the matching butterfly punch — Pleasant Poppies stamp set (see it online), the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (see it online) and the Elegant Butterfly Punch (see it online). And I promised a look at the note cards from yesterday’s Note Card Pocket post. And by the way, papillon is French for butterfly. In case you’ve been wondering.
Simple, sweet, and includes bling. What more could you ask from a card?
The pocket includes room for several of these simple cards. Here are the directions:
**Note Card Pockets**:
- Begin with a 4-1/4 x 11″ piece of card stock.
- Score at 3-1/4″ and at 7-1/2″ and fold around to make the pocket.
- Use Sticky Strip at the back and the bottom to secure ends.

The other part of the project that was featured in the magazine was making Paper Beads. There’s one on the front of the large butterfly on the Note Card Pocket. (see it bigger) It’s really simple, too!
**Paper Beads**:
- Cut a triangle of designer series paper (I used Patio Party – about 3″ long and 1″ wide at the big end)
- Beginning at the wide end, roll the triangle around a toothpick, securing with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (aka ‘green lid glue’). Be careful not to glue the paper to the toothpick.
- After rolling the bead, add a light coat of Crystal Effects to the bead to make it shine. Let it dry on the toothpick, resting on the top of a little glass.
