You’re going to LOVE the DIY effects you can get with this technique. Many stamps are perfect for cutting in layers and then re-assembling to create a multi-dimensional look.
But when you add Crystal Effects (101055) to the equation, you’re in for a whole new treat! Check out this Video Tutorial on how to create layered flowers with the Regarding Dahlias stamp set (130327).
This card can be created on your own, or even simpler — with my November Stamps in the Mail Club Kit! Click here for more details on getting your own kit.
Here’s my lesson on creating these gorgeous flowers.

Want to try this technique with other stamp images?
Good for you!! Look for an image that you can cut in several layers — good ones might be the Swallowtail butterfly stamp (129216 – I’m going to have to try it!), or the flower from Betsy’s Blossoms (126006).
Again, if you’re thinking you’d like to give this a try, you can easily make this card by signing up for my Stamps in the Mail Club Kit. ALL THE SUPPLIES are included, with the exception of a black ink pad and adhesive. Everything else is pre-cut, pre-embossed, etc. for this project plus 3 more projects, and your stamps, Crystal Effects, etc. are included in the $45 fee.
Get yourself a treat! You’ll love the ease of these monthly kits. You can participate for just November, but I’ll warn you now that after trying one month you may want “need” to continue for several months :)
I look forward to stamping with you by mail!
Happy Stamping!

Great idea, Meg! Love it.
Quick tip I use on my Staz-On pads. The ridge at the top of the clear lid, put a couple of glue dots on the ridge, put it on the pad, then put the regular lid back on. When you pull the lid, the clear lid remains in place and will reseat in the exact spot next time you replace the lid. No worries about losing the lid. I do it every time I buy a new Staz-On pad and it works like a charm.
