Do you find yourself needing little ‘thanks for having us’ gifts sometimes? Maybe a friend invites you over for dinner, or you need a quick teacher gift for the piano recital? Here is a sweet treat using the Always stamp set (retiring — see it online).
The basket sides were cut with the Big Shot using the retiring Baskets & Blossoms Big Shot Die (25% off while supplies last — check online). Speaking of this die, have you seen my Video Tutorial on assembling this Die? Check it out here if you’d like to see how the die can be assembled with a circular bottom.
This project uses a square shaped basket instead:
Square Baskets from the Baskets & Blooms Big Shot Die:
Cut two basket pieces, then trim the bottom curve from the pieces and remove the tabbed edge. Stamp as desired.
- Cut a strip for the bottom of the basket, 4 x 8″. Score 1/2″ down each long side to make the tabs. Score the other direction at 2-1/2″ from each end to make the sides. Cut into the side tabs at the 2-1/2″ score lines and fold all score lines
- Use the tabs to attach the stamped basket ‘front’ and ‘back’.
Did you see my Always projects last week? I’m going to miss this stamp set when it retires on June 30th! Be sure to shop now, if you’d like to have it before it’s gone.
Happy Stamping!
What a cute little basket. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
