Have you tried the Spotlighting Technique yet? Wondering how to use spotlighting in your craft projects? Spotlighting uses a mask, punch or color to feature a single design element out of a whole image. In this card with the Sky Is The Limit stamp set, the ‘sun’ behind the plane is a great example of how to use spotlighting on your cards.
This card is an embellished version of one shared during our team card swap this winter by Rae Anne Littrell – one of my fellow LovenStampfuls demonstrators.
By the way – if you’re in love with this stamp set, be sure to place your order soon! It’s only available as a limited-time Sale-A-Bration selection, through Monday, February 15 – shop now!
To use a mask for spotlighting, punch the desired circle or shape from light tag board or card stock. Sponging can use either A) the negative space (as in the circle sun above) or B) the positive image (as in the clouds in the background above).
