Spooky Scallop Circle Spiders: too cute to eat

Last week I promised to share my 2nd Stamp Club with Meg project from September.  Here’s the Spooky Spider creation, using the new 1 x 8″ Cellophane Bags (see them online) that I used last week on my other spider card.  These would be great quick treats for a classroom or for your neighbors or co-workers.

1” x 8” Cellophane Bags are perfect for all kinds of treats—including black licorice for spider legs!

  1. Cut two large black circles from the Scallop Circle #2 Die for Big Shot.  Sandwich three licorice ropes in Cello Bags between the scallop circles with tape.
  2. Create features: eyes, ¾” and 1” Circle Punches, teeth & feet are Pennant Builder Punch.
  3. To make legs: score strip of black card stock every ¾” with Simply Scored Scoring Tool and zig-zag fold.  Attach ‘feet’ at bottoms and adhere legs under top body scallop.

Want to know something funny?  I would have sworn that I stamped a little SPIDER from the Batty for You stamp set (see it online) to match my spider… but apparently not!  Guess that’s what happens when I stamp too late at night :-)

Happy Stamping (and spooking!)

  2. Hi Meg,
This spider is really cute. What are the measurements of the scallops from this die? I was trying decide whether to get this die or the 2-3/8″ scallop punch. =)
