Grab Your Backpack, It’s Time for School

I don’t know about your house, but for some kids there are a variety of places to go after school — home by bus, picked up by car, off to Girl Scouts… and for a kindergartener or even a 2nd grader, that can be a lot to remember.  So this year my neighbor remembered the Car Tags I’d made for my daughter when she was younger, and asked if I would make a set for her daughter starting kindergarten this year.

The idea is to tie the appropriate tag onto her backpack each morning.  That way when school lets out, she can easily remember whether she should head to the bus or the car pick-up line.

The tags are created with the Two Tags Die for Big Shot and the numbers and letters are from the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Die Set.  Gotta love the coordinating Concord Crush and Melon Mambo ribbons!

And the bus is from one of my favorite stamp sets — Every Little Bit (see it online, or more ideas).  After stamping and assembling the tags, I finished them by laminating to make them last a bit longer.  Two years ago for the tags I just taped back and forth with heavy packing tape — very easy!

Happy Stamping!
