Simple Stamping 101: How to Use the Masking Technique

Love the look of layered cards but don’t want to keep piling on the layers? The Masking Technique is perfect for creating the look of an additional paper layer without more card stock. By stamping over and around a mask (an extra layer of scrap paper), the flowers on this Needle & Thread card create a perfect highlight for a sweet greeting.

To get the best image possible, use a Bone Folder to press ink down into the firm foam Classic Stampin Pads, allowing for just the perfect touch of ink to be picked up by the stamp for transferring to card stock.
