Really? Who takes pictures in the emergency room so that she’ll be able to scrapbook her broken leg?? Okay, it was me. Last Monday I took my daughter ice skating and managed to fall and break my leg and destroy my ankle.
So I might as well get a few fun scrapbooking pages out of it, right? This page was created from the Downtown Grunge Photobook Template (see it online – 126056) for My Digital Studio. (learn more about MDS)
All I did was move around a few photo frames (love that tape look with the frames) and add text boxes in a variety of fun fonts:
- Warning – Bauhaus 93
- ICE SKATING – Impact
- can be hazardous to your health -Futura
- (and to your favorite jeans) – Gabriola
And the scissors are from the Keep This Memory Designer Kit (129879 – see it online). They add a nice touch and a fitting farewell to my favorite jeans! Who knew that you wouldn’t be able to get jeans off once you had a cast put on?? Darn scissors…
Never fear, me and my crutches will be hobbling around for the next several weeks, but my fingers can still blog and my arms have a long reach at my craft table!

Oh Meg! Sorry to hear about your little accident and my sympathies on your favorite pair of jeans. Glad you are ok! Happy to see it hasn’t slowed down your creativity and blogging :) Good for you! You are a great example to all of us. There’s probably not much I can do since I’m in Taylorville, but if there’s something I can do for you please let me know. I’ll look forward to seeing all your creations while you’re recovering :)
I am glad you took pictures. That shows a creative genius at work always. Once you are no longer on crutches you need to go shopping for jeans. Praying for today as you have surgery. I hope you are a right footed person for the crutches. I was on crutches for 10 weeks last spring and summer due to a fractured right ankle. I am not a left footed person so crutches were difficult to use.
Make sure you get lots of rest and creating time in :)
OMG MEG!I. AM SO SORRY. GET SOME REST!
Meg–you poor thing! But I noted 3 things. **Your sense of humor is something we all need to take note of. ;-) Your toes look MAVALOUS DAHLING! Nothing like a good pedicure when you break your leg!…and lastly…what a big YAHOO! for MDS. Just plop that laptop in your lap and you have a full room of supplies at your fingertips. Take care!
Thanks Mary! I was hoping for a full pedi while I was asleep during my repair surgery, but the surgeon told me afterward that his pedicurist only works on Fridays. Too bad I missed that one ;)
oh my goodness. You have such a positive attitude! Glad you didn’t forget to scrapbook about yourself!
Thanks all for the kind wishes!
Take it easy. Wishing you a quick and full recovery.
Has your ankle tottally healed?Hope you feel better.
Yes, thank you! All better. Hard to believe that was just about 1 year ago. Since then I’ve been rock climbing, hiking, rafting, paddle boarding… definitely all better :)
