Seriously, where does the time go during the summer months? My kids went back to school yesterday and I’ve got my elbows deep in the boxes of Holiday Catalog sneak peek items that arrived last week and again this week! You’re going to *love* the Holiday Catalog – I know it! So here are some more pictures from the Stampin’ Up! Convention, including some extra photos of projects that were presented on stage. So many gorgeous ideas! I couldn’t wait to get home and get crafting!
Speaking of crafting, this year I made bag tags for our entire green hat team, the Impeckable Stampers. Since we all receive the same convention bags, it’s easy to mix them up. The tags make a nice addition so that we can tell them apart. The tags feature the Bountiful Border stamp set that I used for my July Stamps in the Mail Club kits. Let me know if you still want a kit, as I have a couple of those ready to send out!
Aren’t they cute bags?? I can’t wait to start carrying mine as a purse this fall. They’re gigantic – lots of fun things to fit inside there! Who knows, maybe I’ll stick the latest Paper Pumpkin box inside, in case I have a few minutes here and there :) (Which reminds me to remind you – the HALFOFF special for new Paper Pumpkin subscribers is still going until September 10, so get yourself signed up!)
The day started off with an obligatory #selfie with my friend Amy. Then off to the classes and general sessions for the day. Our sessions included some recognition for awards earned this past year, including the Grand Vacation – a Mediterranean Cruise for 2!! Here I am with my fellow Impeckable Stampers – that’s me on the left, then Kim Peck, Julie Davison and Susan LaCroix.
And a big (green) hats off to my LovenStampfuls team members, Betsy Crider and Mary Ellen Stites for earning their first incentive trip – to Newport Beach, California later this fall! I know they’re going to love the pampering! Betsy couldn’t be at Convention in person, so Mary Ellen brought her photo-on-a-stick so that she’d know she was there with us in spirit.
So many terrific projects were shared on stage. I can’t wait to create some of these techniques back at home, like the gorgeous emboss resist card using the upcoming Lighthearted Leaves stamp set (139712) – coming September 1!
And my other upcoming fav – the Acorny Thank You stamp set (139718)!
There were also some fabulous demonstrator presentations on stage. Here are a couple of my favorite projects presented by Erica Cerwin and Lyssa Zwolanek.
Later that evening we gathered for our traditional pizza & swaps night. This event is one of my favorite parts of Convention. Everyone in our green hat group gathers all the cards they’ve received in swaps and brings them to a giant pizza party. We eat pizza, laugh, chat and best of all – take photos of all the fabulous swap cards that we might not have received but want to be sure to remember! Here are a few of us deep in the action:
Like I said, we have a great time at Convention. Included in the fun? All-attendee giveaways! Watch for more details when the Holiday Catalog release happens on September 1st. You’re going to want this fab Basic Black ARCHIVAL ink pad to add to your stamping stash! And yes, we each got to take one home with us. Thanks Stampin’ Up!!

Hi, Meg….rec’d my Holiday Catalog yesterday, and thanks so much!
When will we be able to view some of the videos pertaining to some of the projects and items in the catalog? Lots of cool designs and papers!

Yay! Isn’t it a GREAT catalog? I have such a long wish list (and a lot of new stamp sets here to get using!). Ordering from the new catalog begins Sep 1, so watch for some fun videos from me for projects coming when September rolls around! (Or maybe before if I just can’t wait ;)
