I’ve been meaning to get some photos posted from the Stampin’ Up! Convention, but summer is whizzing along and I’ve been enjoying the past week home with my kids. Hard to believe they’ll be back in school so soon! Here are some fun pics though – including one of the sweet treats that I gave to my LovenStampfuls team members at Convention.
I wanted to give them something special for the 1920’s theme party – in case they didn’t bring anything along! The pearls are tucked inside this fun Sketched Dots Tag A Bag Gift Bag, and I decorated with the Amazing Birthday stamp set. Definitely amazing, but definitely NOT just for birthdays!
Thanks for all the votes on my dress! I’ll include the photos below so you can see that I followed the unanimous advice and went with the silvery dress.
When I finished with my team treats, I had a few pieces remaining. I thought I might as well make a fun card with some of my leftover pieces, so here’s what I created with the same stamped tag, but extra card stock.
Here are some of my favorite shots from the first day at Convention. When we enter, there are always some special mentions on the doors…not to mention all the banners up and down the main streets around the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
Love the green hat? I know – it’s the perfect complement to any and every outfit… but they’re so much fun for our group! And you sure never lose anyone in the crowd of happy stampers! Calls for a green hat selfie with friends, right?

During our sessions at Convention we got to see some FABULOUS projects with sneak peeks of items from the upcoming Holiday Catalog! The catalog will be available for customer orders on September 1, but if you *need* to have access to the fabulous items earlier, then you’re going to want to talk to me about signing up as a demonstrator! On August 4, demonstrators can pre-order items from the Holiday Catalog – and start playing!
See? They gave us our own copies of the new Holiday Catalog and we could hardly even think about getting up to go for lunch… do you see a single person getting up to eat? Goodness no! All eyes on the catalog!! (And you’re going to love it when you see it, too!)
We did eventually move ourselves to the Gathering Place though, where we were treated to a pop-up container with a goodies – stamps, washi tape and candy! I got a movie size package of DOTS to take home to my family. Fulfilled all my souvenir shopping for the week!
Stampin’ Up! held the Awards Night that evening, which was the whole reason for my question about the dress selection. Like I said, I followed everyone’s advice and wore the silver dress. Lots of fun! I was honored to be recognized as one of the Top 100 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators again this year – thank you so much to all of you for helping to make this another amazing year!
Here I am with my friend Julie Davison – both of us honored as top demonstrators and wearing our 1920’s theme party garb. Wondering about the striped bag? It’s the bag that Stampin’ Up! gave us for Founder’s Circle (the top 100 demonstrators) to help us get excited about our upcoming retreat to St. George, Utah this coming September.
The party was a lot of fun – complete with a band and dancing, and of course amazing food. Doesn’t it look yummy?
Check out all the feathers, headbands and pearls! We have so much fun together as demonstrators – whether it’s stamping or dressing up for a roaring 20’s party!
With that, it was time to put away the dancing shoes and head to bed so we could be ready for two more days of stamping and surprises!
