What should every crafter have on a Wish List? My top pick is the Big Shot Die Cut Machine.
The Scallop Square die for the Big Shot is probably in my top 5 favorite dies, and for fabric or quilting projects, I think it’s my #1 favorite.
My most recent project was a quilted Bible cover. This time I made a different kind of quilted project — a small tote or purse.
This is actually a pretty easy project–and quick, too! The Big Shot will cut 6-8 layers of upholstery or quilting fabric at one time. And I can cut 4-6 layers of the cotton quilting batting with no problems.
From uncut fabric to finished purse, this bag didn’t take all that long to complete–only about an hour.
For directions on how to put together purses like this, check out my post from last winter. The only difference is that here I added a layer of natural cotton batting between the front and back pieces of each purse panel.
Hey girl, I love your tote – and that fabric you chose is gorgeous. TFS
