I checked – it’s been 3 years since I last used this technique, which is silly because the Split Circle Technique creates such a strong visual element, and it’s SO simple to create! The pretty Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper makes a terrific background for the circles cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I love the extra detail elements from these special circles but any circle die set will work.
This card features a Designer Series Paper Card Base (one of my favorite layouts for making the most of pretty DSPs).
And the pop-up element in the center showcases the pretty Nests of Winter DSP – which can be cut using the dies in the coordinating Winterly Tree Tops Dies.
The pop up element is mounted on another of the larger circles from the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
These layered circle dies have such pretty details – they were perfect for the Split Circle Technique cuts for the front of the card.
Whether for the front or the inside of the card, the Spotlight on Nature Dies have been a hot commodity. Be sure to grab them when they’re in stock!
