I get that question all the time – from both new stampers and experienced stampers. But no matter who is asking, my answer is always the same. I start with the Stampin’ Up! Catalog & Idea Book (it IS an “idea book” after all) and create from there.
Sometimes the cards I design have very little resemblance to the original inspiration, and sometimes the cards are easily identifiable by their catalog originals. On this card, I started with a smaller idea that also used the peek-a-book window, but changed up the colors and the card size.
To create this card for my Stamps in the Mail Club subscribers, I started with a half sheet of Tangerine Tango card stock, punched the front with my 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and changed up the colors a bit for the stamped embellishments.
Want to see how it’s done? Good thing I have a Video Tutorial for you! This is a relatively simple cards, but watch for a few little hints – like how to attach vellum without your showing your adhesive and how to add those tiny little pieces (for you) without a lot of hassle.
And if you really want to make this card (plus the 3 other September Stamps in the Mail Club projects) then be sure to head over to my page to check out the details, and click the link to fill out the web form. If you have any trouble, just send an email and we’ll get you set up!
Like the Peek-A-Boo card idea? Here are some other Peek A Boo cards from my past blog posts.
