In my family, the ‘engineering’ of a card seems to count as much as the ‘art’ of a card. So my daughter has decided that her cards should all have pop-up elements, and of course the Valentines she created for her 1st grade class were no different!
Here were the criteria she wanted to include:
- Candy (of course)
- Rhinestones (easy with the sticky ones from Stampin’ Up!)
- Pop-Up Element
Check, check and check! Here’s what we designed:
The card is a basic matchbox pouch, stapled at the bottom. Just fold up about 1″ of card stock, add the gummy hearts with Sticky Strip and tuck the top over into the stapled fold.
The pop-up heart in the middle was attached with Mini Glue Dots to a piece of zig-zag folded card stock.
Voila–1st grade pop-up Valentines!
