Have you thought about using your stamps and Stampin’ Up! papers for wedding projects? I had someone contact me to set up an appointment to plan place cards for tables at her wedding reception, and these are the samples I showed her when she arrived.
There are so many ideas, ranging from simple to fancy. The card in the center left is just a piece of cardstock wheeled with the So Swirly Wheel (109683) in Pumpkin Pie ink. The rest of the samples all use the Always Designer Series Paper (112486) and matching Always stamp set (113620). The colors are all Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette–I love this paper!
The Pillow Box in the front was created with the Big Shot (113439), and also uses one of the new Filigree Brads (112577), plus the Scallop Square Punch (112081). The simple place card in the center right uses the Top Note Big Shot die (113463) which is included in the Big Shot Starter Kit (113481). And of course the basket in the back right is made with the Baskets & Blooms die (113484) and you can check out my video on how to assemble these baskets if you’re not sure.
This is what I came up with for Carol after chatting with her about her wedding colors and style. We used the Baroque Motifs stamp set (109403) to go along with her wedding theme, which focuses on fall and wine. The colors here are Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla, with Sage Shadow accents. Her place cards are unique–Carol had the idea of cutting wine bottle corks flat on one side and adding a slit for the place card. She also decided to do a program folder for the wedding programs, and she’ll use her leftover cardstock to make a few thank you notes with “kind” stamped on them.
Probably the coolest part will be her wine bottle labels. As table gifts they are giving home-made wine from her father-in-law, and Carol is going to stamp the same design from the place cards on the custom wine bottle labels. Can’t wait to see it all put together!
In case you’re wondering how we stamped the swirls so close together… definitely pull out your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. It’s a fabulous tool for something like this. Never used one or don’t remember how? Learn how on one of my technique videos…
