Did you know that this year’s In Colors are a GORGEOUS combination for Christmas cards? I didn’t either, until I started playing with them for my Stamps in the Mail Club! Don’t worry–if you missed out on Stamps in the Mail this round, the new Round will begin in November. But for now, I’m sharing a couple of projects from the round finishing up this month.
The stamp on this card, Something for Christmas (see it online), is a single stamp from the A La Carte section of the catalog. These single stamps are definitely more than meets the eye! This single stamp includes 3 greetings, or even more, if you use “peace” or “merry” on its own. Plus the ornaments can be used as a line of ornaments without the greetings, or singly, or just with one greeting… so many combinations!
To get all those colors on one stamped image? Easy! Just use the Stampin’ Write In Color Markers (they come in a set of 5 – check them out) and color the entire stamp before you apply the stamp to card stock.
The background is dry embossed using the Big Shot (you can get a free one this month!) and the Northern Flurries Embossing Folder (see it online).
SITM! Awesome! I’m so glad that I joined SITM! Not only do I get fabulous idea’s…the products are awesome! This has helped me build up my supplies for my stamping addiction! Thanks Meg for introducing me to SITM!
I can’t wait for the next round! I know I have been absent and I have really missed all the fun in the mail! See you for the November round!! Jill
Love, Love, Love this card!! It’s simple and gorgeous!
