Simple Tips for Embossing with the Big Shot: Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder

I have a couple of tips for you with the folder. Make sure you note these if you’re going to use this folder!

First, remember that the dynamic folders have a different sandwich (layer of plates) compared with the regular thinner folders.  For this folder, use:

1. Big Shot Platform (without the Thin Die Adapter)
2. Card stock in the Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
3. Single Standard Cutting Pad (clear plastic plate)

That’s it – it should crank through the Big Shot easily. If you’re working too hard to crank, check your layers again to be sure you don’t have something extra in the ‘sandwich’.

Second, if you use a Sponge Brayer on the inside of the folder (the side labeled with the Stampin’ Up! logo), the embossed design will appear crisper. Just select the same color ink as your card stock and brayer just a few times on the folder before using the Big Shot.  The difference is amazing!
