This card is proof that tried-and-true crafting techniques are always going to…pop up… ha! Get it? Sorry, horrible pun, but I couldn’t help it. This Tabbed Surprise Pop-Up Card Technique features a tabbed piece that pops out of a box when the box is flexed. So when the picnic basket is flat, the picnic is hidden inside. When the basket is shifted, the picnic pops out!
Have I mentioned that I love Pop-Up Cards? (see more of my tutorials on Pop-Up cards)
Here’s a helpful image (perfect for pinning) show you how the Tabbed Surprise Pop-Up Card works:
Ready to see the card in action? This is one that you’ll want to watch for the details – the placement of the tabbed piece is super important – and most of all, be sure the glue on the tabbed piece is dry before your play with your card.
I know it’s hard to wait, but you’ll be happier with the results if you can hold out!

I love this card Meg, I have made one of this before in the past and mine too I think was a Christmas Card. The versatile basket weave embossing folder appears again in your project, every time I see it I know that it is going to have to go on my wish list.
