*No Allegiance to Any Baseball Team Is Indicated with This Card

Beauty of the Season - cardinal Christmas card idea with a circle punch focal point by LovenStamps #stampinup

Really, I’m not trying to piss off any Cubs fans here… this cardinal from the Beauty of the Season stamp set (135779) just happens to be a beautiful focal point for this Christmas card design idea! So if you’re a Cubs fan (or something else anti-Cardinals), then just move on to another post from my blog… perhaps the fabulous Treat Box that I shared on Saturday!

This is a fairly simple card – but uses a fun alternate design idea.  Instead of putting your main image on the front of the card, try using the giant 2-1/2″ Circle Punch (120906) to punch a hole in your card front, then layer your main image inside to appear through the hole.

The supplies for this card are fairly simple, too – just color-on-color stamping in Real Red on Real Red card stock with an accent of Champagne Glimmer Paper…because every card needs a little bit of BLING, right?

  1. I have to tell you, 2 things. First, this is an absolutely darling card. I’ve not bought this stamp yet but if I keep seeing ideas like this, I’m gonna lose what little self control I have….lol. Thank you for sharing your creativity….

And secondly, how sad has it become that you have to worry about making card with a beautiful red cardinal on it….. No worries from my end cuz I don’t follow sports… lol

    Have a great week…
