Monochromatic Cards: Fresh Vintage in Black & White

When was the last time you did a card without color?  Sometimes a monochromatic card (“one color”) or a black & white card is a refreshing change of pace.  Here’s a card featuring the Fresh Vintage stamp set (available as a Sale-A-Bration reward with a $50 order right now).

fresh-vintage-notecard-inThe card was started on a Note Card & Envelope base (see them online) (yes, I’m addicted to them — here are a whole bunch of ideas on my blog).  I cut 1″ off the front of the notecard, then used the Scallop Edge Border Punch (see it online) at the edge of a piece of Basic Black card stock and stamped the Fresh Vintage flourish on the inside of the note card.

Perfect embellishments for this card — Jewels Pearls in three sizes, and the Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon in Basic Black.  Yup, it comes in other colors too, but this was perfect for the B&W look.  If you’re trying to match the Scallop Circle size, it’s the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.   Just add with Dimensionals, and you’re set!

Be sure to check out my other Sale-A-Bration set ideas, or some of my other monochromatic card ideas.

Happy Stamping!
