Looking for a really elegant, really simple way to use your Beautiful Butterflies die (see it online) and your Beautiful Wings Embosslit (see it online)?
Here is a card I shared at my workshop last evening, using both butterflies plus a sprinkle of Basic Pearls (see them online). The folded card is 4-1/4 x 4-1/4″.
The background Very Vanilla card stock is just embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder (see it online) and the layered butterflies are attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The color selection comes from the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper (see it online).
The greeting is from the Three Little Words stamp set (see it online) which is still available as a FREE Sale-A-Bration selection (learn more about Sale-A-Bration), until March 31st. Be sure to place your SAB order soon, so that you don’t miss out!
Keep an eye out over my next few blog posts. This simple card idea is going to become a 6 x 6″ scrapbook page and a 12 x 12″ scrapbook page. Just goes to show that any idea can be modified to whatever project or supplies you have on hand.
Happy Stamping!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Love it!
Meg – what color is the top butterfly? I love it! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mary– You’re welcome :-) The top butterfly is Sahara Sand and the bottom butterfly is from the Elegant Soiree paper (mostly Baja Breeze).
Happy Stamping! –Meg
This is so pretty. Love your blog-I have gotten so many ideas from you. I just nominated you for the Stylish Bloggers Award. You can see the details on my blog at http://www.starzlstamps.com Lynn
Meg:
On the Butterfly Soiree thank you card…
How did you avoid crease lines when only using a portion of the embossing folder? I’m a SUP demonstrator…this would be helpful to share with others. Your card is lovely. thanks in advance. Sandy
Hi sandy :) it’s been awhile since I made that card, but I think I placed the cutting plates so that the edge of the embossing folder fell outside the plates. Maybe :)
Happy stamping! Meg
