You Did That with My Digital Studio?

DVD sleeve 1001 impeckables-002Did you know that My Digital Studio can be used to create pretty much anything that you want to make with paper?

I used MDS this week to make paper covers for the DVDs from our LovenStampfuls Stamp N Share. (I send these out to the demonstrators in our group who live too far away to join us for our monthly meetings).

I thought it might be fun to dress the disks up a bit, using the Sweet Pea Designer Paper Pack (available for purchase & download to add to the MDS program). And of course I threw on some Hodgepodge Hardware and buttons to match–gotta love that you can never run out of a certain frame :-)

I printed out the page, cut it in half with my paper cutter, then folded to make the DVD pocket.

If you’ve never purchased any of the extra downloads available for MDS, you’ll want to give it a try. The Sweet Pea Stitched Felt is also in the My Sweet Pea Digital Kit (I used it for notepaper recently) and you’ll definitely want to add this kit to your collection. It includes the felt plus 48 patterns of new Designer Series Paper and a 5 piece ‘stamp’ set.

**My Digital Studio Tip** To find out which Digital Downloads are new, visit my online store and click “Digital Crafting” in the left column. Pick “my digital studio downloads”, then “newest downloads.” You can add the downloads you’d like to your shopping cart, then check out (don’t forget that you earn free Sale-A-Bration gifts if you order $50!). After you check out, you’ll be able to download directly to your computer. It’s easy to install the new items, too–just run the auto-install and the papers, stamps or embellishments will be added to the right folders and you can use them right away!

I’ve also used My Digital Studio to create recipe cards! I formatted a 12×12″ scrapbook page so that I could cut it into 6 recipe cards, each sized 3 x 4″.

These would be a great project as a gift. You could even do them for a wedding shower! Have everyone send you the recipes ahead of time, maybe with a picture of themselves or the food prepared, and then put a collection of recipe cards together as a gift for the bride-to-be.

And speaking of the recipe cards, I’ll be teaching a tutorial on these in person this coming Monday!
