Is it ironic that this watercolor tutorial uses an umbrella stamp set? Something about raindrops and water… Anyway, Blender Pens are a great tool for watercoloring – especially for adding subtle shading to your stamped images.
With the Shimmery White Card Stock, the ink sits on top of the card stock a little bit longer, which means the Blender Pens can be used to shift the color around a little bit. Wondering where to add shading? Think about where the shadows would appear on the image. For the umbrella, I like to add dimension along the vertical lines.
Want to see how to use your Blender Pens? Perfect – here’s the video tutorial for this Stamps in the Mail Club card. If you’d like to try your own hand, you can order your supplies through my online store, or you can request a December Stamps in the Mail Club and get everything you need, pre-cut and ready to stamp!
