I set out to create this super simple and super fun Designer Series Paper feature card, with the Walk in the Woods DSP and the BACK in stock Trucking Along stamp/punch combo. But after stamping, I couldn’t resist creating a Paper Pumpkin Alternate card idea for the September Kit – also with Trucking Along!
A great guy card – and I get requests for those all the time, today’s pseudo-fun fold card will WOW you. Thanks to Laura Brooks for sending me the idea!
The first card features a really clever cutting idea to create the diagonal. Fold the card base in half as usual, then use a Paper Trimmer to cut away the diagonal piece from the top right corner to the bottom left center fold.
Add a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Designer Series Paper, adhering only to the remaining card front triangle. Keeping the card closed, apply glue to the bottom right corner of the DSP rectangle, and glue the remaining triangle of cardstock onto the card front. Voila! A diagonal card base!
To decorate the card, the Trucking Along stamp set and punch bundle created a perfect accent. And the Modern Oval Punch provided the long rounded rectangle piece. Don’t know how to make custom size rounded rectangles? Be sure to watch the video tutorial!!
Second card – I couldn’t resist mixing and matching the truck with the pretty printed burlap paper in the Paper Pumpkin kit. Don’t have the September 2023 With Love & Gratitude Paper Pumpkin kit??
