Aside from the gorgeous dragonfly and bumblebee images in the Dragonfly Details stamp set, there are several really great ‘other’ stamps. Don’t be fooled – they won’t jump out of the box and onto your acrylic blocks. Yes, I agree that the dragonfly will be the first stamp out of the package, but here’s a technique that will quickly make the random dots image become your next go-to from this stamp set!
The technique? Double Ombre – or Two-Tone Ombre. Ombre is a French term for shading of color from light to dark or vice versa. You’ll see ombre everywhere these days – hair color, textiles, clothing, and of course stamping project.
Usually only 1 color is involved and the ombre effect might be from light blue to dark blue. But I’m going to share a Double Ombre Technique here – where two colors are involved. Our colors are Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand, and the dotted stamp from Dragonfly Details makes this technique a snap.
