Tag Collage Technique with Backyard Basics

Backyard Basics: Tag Collage Technique

Do you ever need a stamping idea?  Suffer from Stamper’s Block?  It happens!  One of my favorite strategies is to flip through the Stampin’ Up! catalog and pick out a sample to “CASE” (Copy And Selectively Enhance is my favorite version of this popular stamper’s acronym).

This card comes from the catalog sample for the By the Tide stamp set (page 77 in the catalog).  It’s a set of 3 tags simply stamped and mounted on Core’dinations card stock (see the colors online).  Core’dinations paper is really cool — it’s got a heavier weight and a surface texture so that when you sand it lightly, you get a great weathered effect (see more project samples on my blog).

Did you see how the tulip is perfectly cut out?  No, I didn’t do it with scissors.  I used a coordinating Framelit!  For my card I used the new Backyard Basics & Framelits Bundle (132728 – see it online).  Because when you order them together, you get both the stamps AND the framelits at 15% off.  Nice!  They’re a perfect match for each other — each stamp has its own framelit.

The tags themselves were cut with the Chalk Talk Framelits (see them online – 132730). I’m totally addicted to these — I use them all the time.

Happy Stamping!
