It’s getting close to that exciting time of year, when stampers from all over North America gather in Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin’ Up! Convention!! This year we have a huge number of demonstrators from my “family” attending — 60 of us! I’m really looking forward to the adventure, especially since many of the demonstrators on my team live all over the country and we only get to see each other in person at Convention.
Each year I have the best of intentions for making my Convention scrapbook as SOON as I get home… but well, you know how that’s likely to go, especially when I come home with 100’s of ideas that I can’t wait to try out in my stamp room!
So THIS year, I’ve figured out a new plan! I’m going to make my scrapbook WHILE I’m AT Convention! And thankfully, Stampin’ Up! has the perfect product line for me — the This & That Journal product suite! (check out the Epic Day line)
See how it works? It’s a journal where you collect “this & that” as you’re going along. Perfect for capturing the little adventures that you don’t want to forget — or adding in plane ticket stubs, a lunch ticket from Convention, etc — all the things we save “in case” we want to scrapbook them. Except with This & That journal, they DO get scrapbooked!
So are you wondering about the little “sweet dreams” tag? It’s got a nightie and a sleep mask, in case you didn’t catch that :) With my demonstrator family, I’m swapping embellishments for This & That journals! Cool idea, right? So I make up 12 of the same embellishment, trade them with other demonstrators and get back 12 new titles or journal embellishments — all ready to go into my Convention 2013 This & That Journal.
The nightie swap is for a hotel page — since it’s basically like one big slumber party. I designed it for my mom to swap. She’s also a demonstrator and celebrating 10 years this year. This is actually our 10th Convention together!
Okay, and here’s for the fun product tip. You can expand your wardrobe with the Dress Up Framelits Dies (see them online) by using your 3/4″ Circle Punch (see it online)!
What gal doesn’t need more choices to wear??

Last little hints from my sample — I used My Digital Studio and the Fabulous Phrases digital brush set to print out the words at the right size. And did you catch my super-favorite Chalk Talk stamp & Framelit as the background?
Happy Stamping!
