If you’ve been watching my blog and YouTube channel at all over the last year, you’ll already know that I’m a HUGE fan of my #DSPCardBase design! Seriously, as a design trend, what could be simpler than to skip the layers of cardstock and start with a base layer from gorgeous double sided paper?
It’s like a “save the turtles” campaign – except it’s the crafting version, with “save both sides” as our movement! Who wants to glue down the pretty side of any designer series paper? Pretty much no one, that’s who. So grab your favorite DSP, (the one you’ve been eyeing forever but are afraid to cut – you know you have one) and cut a 4″ wide swatch off the top or the side, and create your own DSP Card Base greeting card!
I’ll show you the tips in the video tutorial – just watch and learn, especially helpful tips like layering card stock in the middle to stabilize the paper, or making the most of that extra 1″ on a 4″ x 12″ paper by turning the last 1″ back on the front as a design element.
