Looking for a ‘guy’ card this summer? Here is a great technique to highlight a stamped image in black and white: Split Negative. The Sail Away stamp (see it online) is a perfect line drawing style for this technique.
This sample used Black and White, but any high-contrast color combination will work.
- Cut one piece of white and one back to the same size of the wood block for your stamp.
- Use Versamark to stamp onto black, lining wood block with corner of card stock. Emboss with White Powder.
- Repeat on White card stock, except emboss with Black Powder.
- Cut both pieces of card stock in half, and recombine with opposite color for ‘split’ effect. Mat with opposite color card stock.
