Start with a great layout idea (thanks 3×4 DSP card), then add an upgrade for even more character. The Reach for the Stars stamp set is already out of this world with the astronaut and space shuttle – but adding design elements that create a retro NASA feel? Totally stellar!!
Use your scraps (so efficient) from the Stargazing Designer Series Paper to add a retro flair and bring your card back to the 1980’s for extra fun.
Not sure about a 3×4 card? This simple card layout is a perfect base for lots of additions. On this card the 3×4 element is from the Holographic Trio paper, and the 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece is the Blueberry Bushel cardstock (a returning color from the new catalog).
Ready to try a 3×4 DSP card?? Just grab any designer series paper (aka DSP) to get started.
- Cut a 3″ x 12″ strip. Trim the strip into 3 pieces, each 3″ x 4″.
- Cut a piece of cardstock in half at 4 1/4″, then cut one of the strips into 3 pieces, each 3 1/4″ wide.
Voila! You’ve got 3 DSP card feature layers, plus 3 coordinating mats. Pop them all onto half sheets of cardstock and you’ve got 3 cards ready for decoration.
