That’s right, put down the can and we can all go home happy… oh, wait. It’s already empty? I guess we are all okay then, because I need that can for a Big Shot project!
Did you realize that you can put MANY materials through your Big Shot Die Cut Machine? And yes, one of those materials is thin-gauge aluminum, just like on a soda can.
The snowflake on this project was cut with the Big Shot and the Snowflake #2 Die by my friend and LovenStampfuls Demonstrator, Shirley Casey. Shirley made this project last year for a LovenStampfuls demonstrator swap — and it’s definitely a “WOW!”
Here’s a nice close-up shot of the snowflake. And no, the edges aren’t sharp. The Whisper White card stock snowflake on top is punched with the Snowflake Punch.
This is an easy project — just use Craft & Rubber Scissors (or tin snips) to cut the ends from a soda can. Flatten the aluminum and cut it with the die of your choice.
The silver CD tin is convenient for adding gift cards, greeting cards or whatever else will fit in a tin for the holidays. And yes, you can order these Small Tins on the Clearance Rack from my Online Ordering Website (while supplies last).
By the way, if you missed it last week, you’ll want to check out my “Card in a Tin” project!
