Recently I was cruising around my stamp studio, trying to decide what kind of invitation card to make for my neighbor’s private card class. She’s having a group of friend over to make cards. They’ll pay a fee and make a stack of cards to take home. Many of these potential stampers are new to paper crafting, so we thought it would be fun to invite them with… wait for it… a CARD!
But what KIND of card? I decided that I would print the invitation on a large post-it note to adhere inside the card, so that each guest could remove the post-it and use the card for their own purposes. So the sentiment had to be something that Laura would send her friends…and that they would want to re-use.
“You’re Invited” was out as a greeting… but then my eye fell on this fun Sale-A-Bration stamp set! You Brighten My Day (139106) – the name of the set pretty much says it all!
And since I had my Birthday Bash paper (137783) handy from the card I shared last week, I used another piece for the background on this note card.
