Hot Air Balloons: Lift Me Up with the Carried Away Designer Series Paper

What’s hot this winter?  Hot air balloons for sure!  The new Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating Up & Away Thinlit Dies are available in the Occasions Catalog and they’ve been so popular already!  You can even pick out the Carried Away Designer Series Paper for free as a Sale-A-Bration gift (pick a free item for every $50 you order).

Do you have a stash of Designer Series Paper? Have you been waiting for just the ‘right’ project to use it?  Or are you afraid to cut into those pretty 12″ x 12″ sheets…because you don’t want to create any scraps that will go to waste?

This is the video tip for you!  This card features a layer of Designer Series Paper that will help you learn to USE the paper you have (so of course you’ll have room to add a few more packages!).

When you need to make a few of the same or similar themed cards, grab a sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper.  Cut it into 3″ x 4″ pieces and you’ll have twelve card backgrounds, ready to go.  For the card stock mat, cut your card stock to 3 1/4″ by 4 1/4″.  You’ll get 6 mats out of a single sheet of card stock, so plan on cutting two sheets to match the 12 designer paper backgrounds you created.

Then start mixing and matching your backgrounds!  Don’t forget that you’ll have 2 options to use, since the Stampin’ Up! papers are all double sided.
