Get ready for color and sunshine with today’s paper piecing project. Stamp the Driving By van twice – once on the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper, available through Sale-a-bration, and once on Basic White Cardstock. Fussy cut to combine them both for a flower power treat. What else could layer for this background except a fun flower design? The new Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks provide the perfect complement.
Definitely a card with style!! To add the background flower power layer, simply place the decorative mask over Basic White cardstock, then use Blending Brushes to apply color through the mask. I like the way these worked with the color ‘vignette’ style, where the ink doesn’t quite go all the way to the edges of the cardstock layer.
Love the fussy cutting? There are tips in the video tutorial below – plus I’ll show you how to use the Stampin’ Blends Markers to add the shadow under the van and block out the windows. This way the fussy cutting is minimal, and the blends make short work of the windows.
