Do you love it when all the pieces are right at your fingertips? No need to search out more ink, look for tools or come up with cute accents when the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack will do all that work for you. From the front of the card, the fold isn’t visible. Using DSP for the left and right panels (I’ll show you how in the video tutorial) makes for clean continuous lines.
Then the card opens just a bit to show off the ‘fun’ surprise inside.
And all the way open, there is a spot to write a short greeting, plus the pretty card front is visible when the card is opened — a feature of Z Fold Cards.

I swear that you don’t need a PhD or an engineering degree to make these. I strive to create tutorials that make these cards simple to create, without complex or weird cutting sizes.
How to Make a Double Z Fold Card
- Cut cardstock to 4 ¼” x 8 ½” for card base and 3/4” x 8 ½” for Z fold piece.
- Score both pieces at 2 1/8” and 4 ¼” and fold in Z shapes.
- Cut Designer Series Paper layers and white cardstock layer to 2” x 4”. Adhere background layers. (Hint – I share a trick in the video starting with a 4″ x 4″ DSP layer.)
- Adhere the Z fold piece so that the ‘z’ is on the right side of the card instead of the left (see picture).
- Decorate as desired – the Ephemera Packs are great for little elements!
