Doing the Diagonals: Dots & Stripes Decorative Masks

When I first saw the Dots & Stripes Decorative Mask set, I wasn’t sure how often I would use the stripes.  I mean really, how often do I need jail cell bars?  And horizontal stripes don’t look good on me, so why would I put them on my card?  But then I saw an idea for using the stripes mask on the diagonal – totally different effect!  I loved it! 

Here I’ve paired the diagonal stripes with the rose from the Picture Perfect stamp set.  But this is a fun layout to adapt to MANY stamp sets.  So grab your favorite set of the moment and get stamping!
