Dad’s Day is Coming: Sail Away with this idea

Do you have your Father’s Day card made yet?  In the mail?  Hurry–you only have a couple days left!! Here is an idea with the gorgeous Sail Away stamp (see it online), which works for any masculine card–birthdays, thank yous, etc.

The stamps, Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper and Baker’s Twine all come from the Summer Mini Catalog (see it online).

Want to learn how to make the sailboat panel look more sea-worthy?  Here are the steps:

  1. Stamp image in Not Quite Navy
  2. Use the Stampin’ Up! Cutter Kit (see it online) to distress the edges of the card stock
  3. Ink a Sponge Dauber in Crumb Cake ink and gently swirl over card stock, concentrating on the edges of the paper and lightening towards the center
  4. Finally, stamp the image again in Not Quite Navy on a piece of scrap card stock and cut out the sails.  Attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Happy Stamping!
