A fun card layout that’s simple? With simple cutting? Great! I’m all in! This card is a makeover of one that I featured in Maker Mornings with Meg episode 368, and THAT card was a CASE (copy and share everything) from one in the annual catalog. Check out page 57 for the original inspiration. I love it when a card (this time with the Gorgeously Made stamps and dies) can be so easy to design but look so different than other versions.
While the cutting may look difficult, it’s actually really simple. Cut one DSP to 3×4″ and the other DSP to 2″x4″, then cut a 1×5 1/2″ strip to be the diagonal – or place it vertically like I finally decided to go with on this card. Layer and trim the edges to achieve this pretty diagonal or straight line feature look.
Since the Gorgeously Made dies offer the extra decorative edge option with the notebook paper shape, I went ahead and specially die cut the strip in the center.
