Adhesive 101, What You NEED to Know for Stampin’ Up!® Not Hoil Foil with Dreamy Snowflakes

It’s all about the right tools. And when it comes to adhesive, the adage is absolutely true. Learn about 6 different adhesives in this video tutorial – and when to use each to create a truly gorgeous holiday card. The Dreamy Snowflakes Bundle includes stamps, dies and a hybrid embossing folder, all of which combine for amazing creative options.

The Dreamy Snowflakes stamps are detailed and the greetings carry so much sentiment – I put these above MANY other stamp sets in having truly special greetings. And I’m not calling them a pun, but they do refer to the warmth of the season!!

The Dreamy Snowflakes dies include both the dies to cut out the hybrid embossed images, plus a variety of stamped snowflakes and die cut detail images. I don’t think we’ve ever had a set of snowflakes with more options included in a single bundle. Be sure to check out the strip of snowflakes inside the card. They were applied with the Adhesive Sheets — and if you haven’t used those sheets yet, then you’re going to want to watch the video tutorial for several ideas!!

The Dreamy Snowflakes Hybrid Embossing Folder offers so many options, including the NOT HOT Foil Technique using Adhesive Sheets to make your own shiny paper. In this case, I’ve used the Silver Opal Hot Foil Roll for the most beautiful soft shine.

Haven’t seen my NOT HOT Foil technique yet? You’re missing out – this is an amazing way to put the variety of Hot Foil Rolls to work in your stamping, without needing the Hot Foil System. I do LOVE my Stampin’ Up! Hot Foil System, but it’s not available under later this month so I’m thrilled to offer ideas for putting the hot foil to work in your crafting – system optional.

Directions for NOT HOT Foil Snowflakes with Stampin’ Up! Hot Foil Rolls

• Apply Adhesive Sheet to a piece of cardstock and remove backing.
• Layer Hot Foil over the adhesive with the ‘right’ side facing up, covering completely.
• Peel the backing plastic to reveal the foiled paper.
• Set the Dreamy Snowflake Die inside the Hybrid Embossing Folder and shift until it snaps firmly into place.
• Lay the foiled cardstock on the die, shiny side towards the SU logo on the folder.
• Run the Hybrid Embossing Folder through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
• Admire the beautiful foiled, dry embossed die cut snowflakes!
