Cards with a unique fold? Absolutely! I love this Dutch Door fold card for the simplicity – and I’ve been making a ton of them lately! What better way to feature some fun Designer Series Papers? The basic layout for this card is very simple. Here are the cutting directions you’ll need:
- Card base: 4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Score in half at 4 1/4″
- Turn and score in half again at 2 3/4″ (only to the center line)
- Trim away the top ‘dutch door’ from the card front
- Cut Designer Series Paper panels to 2″ x 4″
See? Simple! But such a fun way to feature pretty papers. Be sure to watch the video tutorial to the end to see the other samples that I created for this card design.
Like I said, I’m in love with this design! It’s a great way to use Designer Series Paper efficiently (you know that’s one of my favs if you’ve been watching my videos) and it’s a fun card!
Then again, how could cards with ice cream treats could possibly be anything other than fun?
