A good punny stamp set – that’s what every stamper needs in their collection. Whale Done is definitely that set – humorous greetings with puns plus darling images and a terrific coordinating punch. Whale done, Stampin’ Up!
Since I love this Whale of a Time suite so much, I picked it for my first highlight of the new catalog. The Whale Done Bundle is the main element of my June LovenStamps Card Tutorials. Ready to hear about this fun whale card? One of the things I love about this suite is the Designer Series Paper. It’s 6×6″ and there are 12 different papers – each with a different design on both sides. With so many fun patterns, how to pick and choose? This card layout makes the DSP great in two ways: you can either use small scraps left over from cutting paper for other card layouts, OR you can make up to 48 cards that are exactly the same with this layout!
Either way, you’ll want to cut your DSP to 1″ x 3″ for each panel, then layer on the coordinating cardstock.
The focal point is the darling whale, which you can either stamp all in one color or make the most of your coordinating ink and create an ombre whale like the one I’ve done here. I inked the bottom edge of the whale in Just Jade ink first, then inked the full stamp ink Pacific Point before stamping on my cardstock. Check out the steps and tips in my video tutorial.
