Swirling Snowflakes: Frosted Medallions for Christmas

LovenStamps: Purple & blue Christmas cards - Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party with the Frosted Medallions stamp set

We may have green grass and sunshine here in central Illinois, but the snowflakes will be so pretty when they arrive!  The non-traditional colors of this Christmas card are one of my favorite color combos: Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder.

In fact, I just used a similar color combo recently (check that card out on my blog)!

The other nifty trick on this card is that the front of the card is shorter than the back, which allows the pretty Silver Foil Sheet to peek out from the inside.

LovenStamps: Try a new card shape! Purple & blue Christmas cards - Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party with the Frosted Medallions stamp set

For this card, I started with Wisteria Wonder card stock (cut to 4 1/4″ x 8 3/4″) then scored at 4 1/4″.  The layers for the card front are 3 3/4″ square for the Pool Party layer and 3 1/2″ for the Whisper White layer.

Love the punched circle in the center of the snowflake?  It’s from the same Frosted Medallions stamp set!  It’s actually just the center of the large snowflake – stamped, then punched with a 3/4″ Circle Punch.  Nifty accent!

Finally, I really love the greeting from the Frosted Medallions stamp set. What a beautiful sentiment for the holidays.
