One of my favorite stamping events each summer is my Summer Scrap Camp for kids. This was the third summer. Each year I’ve done something a little bit different, so this summer I decided to use the 5 sessions of the Scrap Camp to build a scrapbook album.
This is the cover of the book that each girl created–this one is for my daughter, Abby. In a couple of years she’ll be old enough to join the Scrap Camp, but until then she’ll have to be happy with Mom making her projects for her :-)
The album cover was created with the Top Note Bigz die…one of the Stampin’ Up! exclusive Sissix dies. I LOVE this one!! I took a rectangle of thin cardboard, then used Tombow Multiadhesive to attach the strips of Designer Series Paper and cardstock. Then I put the whole piece through the Big Shot to cut the shape and add the decorative perforations. It cut perfectly and the piece is tough enough to hold up to many small hands looking through the album.
This was the first page–everyone’s album was called “All About Me, A to Z” and we made one page for each letter of the alphabet.
There was also a page for “me” and a page for “my family” using the All in the Family stamp set. The girls LOVED making the stick figure ‘drawings’ for their albums.
Then each page had a place for the girls to write whatever they wanted the page to represent–Abby loves art (A) and her brother (B), so here are her first two pages. I look forward to next summer and the next round of Summer Scrap Camp!
