Do you ever wonder how to decorate the fronts of your Stampin’ Up! scrapbooks? They’re beautiful linen albums, but they don’t have much on them that lets us tell them apart if you happen to own 10 or more of them, like me :-)
This was an idea I picked up in Bermuda on the Stampin’ Up! cruise this past spring. I purchased a keyring and a fridge magnet, and I use those to decorate the outside of my cruise album! On the Night of Navy album on the right I used Crystal Effects to stick the magnet/map to the front of my book, and I tied a piece of Real Red grosgrain ribbon around the spine of my book and attached the “Bermuda” keychain. Now I can easily tell which book is my Bermuda album!
On the Natural album to the left, I used my Big Shot Top Note die to cut out a piece of chipboard. This was very simple: I attached the Designer Series Paper to the chipboard first by using my Tombow Multiadhesive. Then I put the whole piece through my Big Shot and let the Big Shot cut out the chipboard and Designer Series Paper to match. Then I stamped “abby” with the Big Deal Alphabet (love this one!). Again, I used Crystal Effects to attach the whole label to the front of the album.
