Punny Cards You Can’t Wait To Make, November Release Stampin’ Up!® On Display Stamp Bundle

Like I said on Tuesday, we now have NEW stamps, papers, punches and more — November Online Exclusives are HERE!! And if you’re a fan of Maker Mornings with Meg, then you know that punny greetings are one of my favorites. The new On Display stamp and die bundle includes a couple of doozies – like, ‘a birthday for the books’ or ‘treat yourshelf’, to go along with the die cut bookcase, books, plants and more. Just because there’s a bookcase though, it doesn’t mean you HAVE to use the bookcase. These are YOUR stamps and you can use them as you wish!

Today’s card shows off some alternate tricks and tips for using the die cuts (there are 30 dies in this set!!) to layer, create backgrounds and more. Instead of the bookcase (don’t worry, I’ve still used some pieces for our shelves), I’ve used the cut away panels to create a scene and focal point on our card.

It’s almost as if there are 39 dies in this package instead of just the 30 listed — all those extra cute rectangles!

Plus be sure to look at the dies and use them the way YOU want — layer the plants, and try using the bookcase edges as shelves. The wood grain texture is a great extra feature and you don’t have to use the whole die cut to get the effect.

One last bonus tip for this card. The new Sign Design Punch is an amazing shape, but sometimes it’s a bit too tall for the stamped image. To make the piece shorter, try double punching.

How to Double Punch for Custom Punched Shapes

• Punch the desired image once
• Cut a small strip of post-it note and stick to the back of the punched image as a handle
• Insert piece again into punch and position using the ‘handle’ before punching again
