Playful Pop Up Easter Basket Card with Stampin’ Up!®’s Easter Joy Suite Collection

This SUPER simple feature is one of my most-commented card elements lately, so when the Easter Joy Suite Collection presented not only the perfect background but ALSO the perfect pop up element, I had to make the card. Really, this is about as simple as pop up gets – so be sure to check out the tips and tricks in the video tutorial. Create a card for springtime and beyond with help from the Easter Basket stamp and die bundle.

Surprise!!

The pop up element is a simple strip – as long as you know how to place it. When making this card I highly recommend assembling it on a flat surface. It’s tempting to want to hold the pieces in the air and make the pop up square so you can see it…but turns out it’s much safer to lay all the elements flat on the table. Safer? Yes – assembling flat means you’re sure the card will close properly. Otherwise you can end up with a pop up box that pops off its hinges when the card is closed.

There are several ‘scenes’ in the Easter Joy Designer Series Paper – pick whichever you’d like for your background panel, and add your favorite rabbit character for a fun spring greeting.
