Sorry I’ve been incommunicado for the past couple of days! We had a terrific time visiting family in Minnesota. Visits to the farm always involve driving antique tractors and seeing cousins, but this particular visit included a couple days to paint the barn.
Because there’s nothing like crafting while on vacation, even if there weren’t too many paper products used!
And if there’s paint involved, it must be crafting, right? Well we went ahead and painted the “new” barn a great shade of red. The official color on the paint buckets was “Barn Red”. I think they might need some creative naming help from their Stampin’ Up! friends!
Lest you be confused by my photo and think I’m talking about a different new barn… yep, that’s the one in the photo. It’s called the “new” barn because it was built to replace the “old” barn that blew down in a tornado in 1924. So the current one was built in 1925. That’s “new” for you.
I mentioned that other fun on the farm includes antique tractors. I’m pretty sure the color that this one is painted must be called “John Deere Green”. Hard to give that one a more iconic description.
I’ll definitely be pulling out my Harvest Blessings stamp set to scrapbook some of these photos! (see the stamp set online – 126452).
Happy Stamping!

I think Barn Red should be re-interpreted as “Rural Red.” Whatchya think?
Absolutely! Maybe you should submit that to Sherwin Williams!
