HOW TO Magic Ombre Stamping + Blending Brush Background, Stampin’ Up!®’s Extraordinary Flora

Inked stamps make for the prettiest images – and with Blending Brushes (a basic stamping toolbox staple) it’s easy to create custom colors for the exact matchy matches desired. There are two steps to this project – stamp the images in ombre ink (yes, Blending Brushes) and then die cut and create the rainbow background (again, Blending Brushes). Extraordinary Flora stamps and die bundle offer the perfect chance to put this cut out card back together again.

Putting the pieces back together is just like assembling a puzzle. This card uses the negative cutout from the flowers as part of the finished work – another reminder that one stamper’s scrap can be another stamper’s art element! I’m not saying to keep all your scraps (yikes, what a mess) but definitely think about how all the pieces can be reused or recycled into another project.

Oooh – don’t forget about the two Hexagon Punch tricks that I shared in today’s video. Do you love the soft banner shape on the Darling Duckling cardstock? It’s easy to create with the pull-through technique for punches. The soft inside edges of the Pretty in Pink cardstock banner are punched with the outer edge of the Hexagon Punch – two great bonus ways to use this handy shape punch.
