With so much to be excited about in the Occasions Mini Catalog, the Matchbox Die (114890, $42.95) has created the biggest buzz. Or in this case, everyone’s ‘hooting’ about it… har har har… ;-)
This Bigz die is so slick to use… the Big Shot cuts, scores and practically assembles it for you. Okay, you caught me, you do have to assemble yourself, but it’s REALLY easy. The die cuts 2 pieces for the cute little matchbox: the drawer and the sleeve that goes around the drawer.
The die itself doesn’t add the cute Curly Label Punch in the center of the sleeve. That I did myself, with the Curly Label Punch. I also tucked a piece of Medium Window Sheet on the back side of the sleeve so that my blue jelly beans wouldn’t fall out ;-) The stamp set here is Owl Together Now (111534, $29.95) which is the set I received for FREE on the Stampin’ Up! Cruise to Bermuda last spring. Ah, the joy…free stamps AND free cruises!
Here’s the drawer open… and the best part of this box? The jelly beans, of course! I had a bag of mixed beans, so I was FORCED to dump out a whole bunch and pick out the blue ones for my box. And since it would be SO unsanitary to put the rest back in the bag, I had no choice but to EAT the non-blue ones. Such a sad story ;-)
Oh, one more best part… the April special is still going on, so if you order the Matchbox Die before tonight, you’ll qualify for the free item from the “Under $10” page in the catalog, since the die is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and it’s over $40 :-) If you didn’t remember about this special, you can read more about the details…
And did you notice my “Favorite Color of the Week” featured here? Yup, Pacific Point on the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper!!
