Purple Christmas cards seem to be one of my favs this year, so here’s another one, finished as a Gift Card Holder! The stamp set here is Season of Joy (see it online) which has a wonderful assortment of images, including snowflakes, a tree, poinsettias and greetings. Definitely a great combination if you’re looking for one set that covers a lot of bases.
It seems like we are all looking for fun ways to give Gift Cards this time of year. What else do you get for a teen?? Here’s a quick and sweet Gift Card Holder that you can personalize for everyone on your list.
The belly band on this card is Concord Crush card stock, and the card is a 1/2 sheet of Wisteria Wonder card stock, scored at 3 and 6-1/2″ to make the tri-fold. I know, all my other tri-fold cards have been Top Note Tri-Folds lately (did you see my Video Tutorial?), but this one is just straight. It has a great Silver Glimmer Paper (see it online) accent though, which highlights the center fold. The Scallop Circle Punch that fits the tree stamp is the 2-3/8″ punch.
The coolest part of this is the Gift Card Holder part. To make the center holder:
- Seal a Medium Whisper White Envelope
- Cut off the two short ends of the envelope
- Fold the envelope in half, then use Sticky Strip in three places — 1″ between the two halves, and 1″ on each side to hold it inside the card
- Cut two pieces of card stock (approximately 3 x 4″) for the pockets. One is for your message. Stick your Gift Card to the other insert!
These fun holders can actually be made in all sizes or shapes–just change the size of the envelope to match your card. Or here are a few other Gift Card Holder ideas from my blog.
Want to get together and make some fun projects? This card was actually one of the projects we made at some of my Stampin’ Up! Workshops in October! If you want to have your own party, we could make this card, or I have LOTS of other fun ideas to share. Just email me and we’ll find a date to get together with your friends!
Happy Stamping!
